There will be three title fights at Deep 88 next month with Yuki Motoya making the first defence of his bantamweight belt in the main event. He faces Pancrase veteran Victor Henry who is riding a four fight winning streak going into this bout.
Motoya (23-5) has established himself as the second best bantamweight in Japan, only Kyoji Horiguchi has beaten him in recent years. He won the title last year and also held the Deep flyweight belt before moving up a division.
Henry (16-4) has faced some of Japan’s best bantamweights under the Pancrase, Deep and Grandslam banners. This will be his tenth time fighting in the country and he will be determined to get his hands on the belt.
The event is set for the Korakuen Hall on March 9th and the co-main event sees Roque Martinez (12-4-2) defend the openweight belt he won in 2017 for the first time. He faces Ryo Sakai (8-8) who has been awarded a title shot after three straight wins for Deep.
The other title on the line is the strawweight strap which belongs to Haruo Ochi (18-7-2). He has won six straight fights and will be defending the belt for the second time when he takes on Namiki Kawahara (5-1-2-1)
