Yuta Sato will go in search of his ninth straight win at Pancrase 307. The Japanese featherweight has been matched with Taichi Nakajima at Studio Coast on July 21st.
Sato (8-1) was defeated in his professional debut but the 32 year old had been on top form ever since. His current winning streak dates all the way back to 2011 and has seen him beat three separate opponents under the Pancrase banner.
Looking to interrupt Sato’s rise up the featherweight rankings will be the experienced Taichi Nakajima (13-10-1). He dropped a split decision to Kyle Aguon at Pancrase 304 and has fought outside of Japan numerous times over the course of his career.
The Pancrase 307 card has also been bolstered with a bantamweight match between Alan Yoshihiro Yamaniha (14-8-4) and Toshinori Tsunemura (14-9-4). The Japan based Brazilian will be looking to snap a three fight losing skid against an opponent with an almost identical record.
As previously announced the event will be headlined by a bantamweight title bout between newly crowned champion Rafael Silva and challenger Yuto Hokamura.
It will also feature a flyweight title fight between Shohei Masumizu and Masatatsu Ueda. The vacant belt awaits the winner.
