ONE Hero Series 12 took place in Beijing today. The final event of the year saw experienced strawweights Bu Huo You Ga and Ze Lang Zha Xi lock horns, with the latter winning by decision.
In the opening round Zelangzhaxi was able to back his opponent up and score with punches and head kicks. Ga set out his stall to take the fight down but after eventually succeeding he found himself in bottom position.
Bu attacked with a leg lock and was able to transition into a takedown of his own. Zelangzhaxi backed his opponent up at the start of the second and narrowly missed with a flying knee.
Bu dropped for a takedown but found himself on his back, a position in which he would remain for the rest of the round. It left the ONE Championship veteran with a lot of work to do in the final five minutes.
The third round got off to a good start for Bu who timed a takedown attempt to perfection. Zelangzhaxi gave up his back attempting a sweep but eventually twisted out and found himself in half guard.
Bu tried for another leg lock only to end up on the receiving end of a barrage of punches from Zelangzhaxi. It left the judges with an easy decision as the former was unable to execute his gameplan.
In the end it was Zelangzhaxi who claimed a decision win that improves his record to 11-4-1. Bu, who has already fought four times for ONE Championship, drops to 6-7
