On July 5th UAE Warriors will crown a heavyweight champion. Chi Lewis-Parry and Ben Adwubi will face off with the rebranded promotion’s newly minted belt on the line.

Lewis-Parry (7-0-2-2) scored a stoppage win at Abu Dhabi Warriors 5 in January. The Englishman has never lost a fight, although four of his 11 bouts have either ended in a draw or a no contest.

Adwubi (4-1) is one of only a handful of heavyweights on the MMA scene who can claim to be taller than Lewis-Parry. He stands at 6’8″ but has been competing in Germany where his previous opponents have not been of quite the same calibre as the Englishman.

The other bout added to the card yesterday pits Bellator and WSOF veteran Fabio Mello (11-9) against Juares Dea (5-2). Both bantamweights are based locally and were in action at UAE Warriors 6, the former lost while the latter registered a win.

The UAE Warriors 7 card is set for the Mubadala Arena on July 5th and looks to be complete with 13 bouts.  As previously announced Amin Ayoub rematches Youssef Wehbe in a fight which will have the promotion’s vacant lightweight title on the line.

Meanwhile Jason Ponet faces Ahmad Labban in the welterweight division and Mohammad Fakhreddine faces Jesse Taylor in a catchweight contest. There are also three lightweight bouts on the card.
