Demetrious Johnson will challenge for the ONE Championship flyweight title. He has been booked to face Adriano Moraes in Singapore on February 24th.

Johnson (30-3) won the ONE flyweight Grand Prix last year, beating three separate opponents to get his post UFC career off to the best possible start. He is universally accepted as being the best 125lber of all time after a glorious career inside the octagon.

Moraes (18-3) has lost three fights, but every single defeat has been a debatable split decision. He is a three time ONE Championship flyweight champion but has successfully defended the belt just twice.

The Brazilian has not fought in over a year, having been inactive since beating Geje Eustaquio at ONE: ‘Hero’s Ascent’ to regain the belt. That is probably because eight of the top contenders were tied up in the flyweight Grand Prix.

The fight was originally booked for ONE: ‘Reign of Dynasties’ in Chongqing on April 11th. That event was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and neither Moraes nor Johnson was able to compete in 2020.
