The vacant welterweight title will be on the line at Pancrase 334. Akihiro Murayama and Genpei Hayashi will face off with the belt on the line in the main event at the New Pier Hall.
Masayuki Kikuiri vacated the belt in order to sign with Bellator last year. He had originally claimed the title with a decision win over Murayama at Pancrase 324.
Hayashi (12-11-1) is coming off back to back wins. He made his Pancrase debut in 2013 and has been competing for the promotion on and off for an entire decade.
Murayama (23-12-9) celebrated his 43rd birthday earlier this year. He is coming off a decision win over Hiroki Nagaoka at Pancrase 330 and will be looking to become the oldest champion in the promotion’s history.

Pancrase 333 took place in Tokyo earlier this month. In the main event Akira Okada beat Takasume Kume by unanimous decision to unify the promotion’s lightweight titles.
