Amber Kitchen will be fighting at Lumpinee Stadium. The strawweight recently relocated to Leeds after losing her first two ONE Championship fights.

Kitchen has been training with Liam Harrison at the Bad Company gym as she looks to turn her career around after three straight ONE Championship losses. The 24 year old has moved all the way from Cornwall to Yorkshire in order to train with the veteran fighter and his team.

This will be her first time fighting in Thailand and she reveals that her opponent is an Italian southpaw:

New team

It will be Kitchen’s first fight since moving to Leeds and she will be desperate to secure her first ONE Championship win. Her debut for the promotion came in 2019 and she dropped a split decision to Viktoria Lipianska in Vietnam.

The pandemic played havoc with Kitchen’s career and she saw several fights fall trough before finally making her comeback in 2022. The 24 year old got to fight on the first ever card to be broadcast by Amazon Prime but dropped a decision to Diandra Martin.

In her most recent match she took on Jackie Buntan in the Philippines but again found herself losing by decision. But for her next fight Kitchen is likely to have Harrison in her corner.

The Englishman has been out of action ever since suffering a devastating knee injury in the loss to Nong-O Gaiyanghadao. But he doesn’t seem to have a problem holding pads for other fighters:

Famous fighter

Kitchen’s mother was a famous Muay Thai fighter. She fought on the same card as Harrison on at least one occasion but has long since retired from the sport.

Her daughter has never fought in Thailand before despite spending a lot of time training in the country. She sounds excited about the prospect of fighting at Lumpinee Stadium,

I’ve never fought in Thailand before so this is a career moment for me.

Until recently no female fighters got to compete in the famous Lumpinee Stadium. But that has all changed with a venue that has been associated with Muay Thai for the best part of a century starting to move with the times.

Kitchen will be competing on an upcoming ONE Friday Fights card and looking to showcase the improvements she has made since relocating to Leeds to train with Harrison and his team.
