Angela Lee is in recovery! The reigning ONE Championship atomweight queen is helping her husband prepare for his bout in Kuala Lumpur next week.
Bruno Pucci faces Kiril Gorobets at ONE 163 and it seems like the Brazilian is using cutting edge technology during his preparations. Lee took to Instagram to share photos of the happy couple using a red light sauna and an ice bath among other innovations:

Lifelong athletes
While Lee does not currently have a fight booked she appears to have been busy training alongside her husband. She explains why they have both started to put more emphasis on recovery,
“As lifelong athletes, we only recently started to make recovery a priority. We wish we started doing this years ago! We ask so much of our bodies. We put it through grueling training sessions, hard sparring days, over and over again. We need to make the time to recover properly! A good sleep isn’t gonna cut it! (Although sleep is super important and often overlooked too).”

Strength to strength
While Lee’s career has been very successful her husband has had more downs than ups in recent years. Pucci is coming off back to back defeats and hasn’t won a fight since 2019.
But the Brazilian will feels he has a good chance to get back to winning ways against Gorobets, a Ukrainian who is coming off a defeat on his ONE Championship debut. The BJJ black belt has actually been on the roster since 2013 but has not fought too frequently.
Four out of Pucci’s five ONE Championship wins have come by way of submission. It is no secret where the BJJ black belt’s strengths lie and he remains a real threat on the ground.
But he has been stopped with strikes on four separate occasions and punch resistance seems to be an issue for the 32 year old. He will certainly have plenty of experience in his corner at ONE 163 with the reigning atomweight champion and her team offering support and advice.
While there was disappointment for Angela Lee with the decision loss to Xiong Jing Nan here younger brother, Christian Lee, recaptured his lightweight title with an emphatic win over Ok Rae Yoon recently. He faces welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4 and the family will be hoping to fly back to Hawaii with two more wins to their name!
