Arjan Bhullar will make the first defence of his heavyweight title against Anatoly Malykhin. The Russian earned his title shot by knocking out Amir Aliakbari at ONE: ‘Revolution’ last night.

Bhullar has been the champion since May when he finished Brandon Vera. But there has been an influx of talent into ONE Championship’s heavyweight division this year.

Kang Ji Won looked to be the number one contender after finishing Aliakbari but the Korean seems to have disappeared. Marcus Almeida could also be a threat and he got off to a winning start last night.

But next up for Bhullar is Malykhin. The champion’s family is from India and he has a big fan following there, so there will be plenty of interest in this heavyweight title fight.
