Barbara Aguiar has joined her friend and training partner Allycia Rodrigues on the ONE Championship roster. The Brazilian is set to make her debut at Lumpinee Stadium this Friday night.
Aguiar trains alongside Rodrigues at Phuket Fight Club and the two female fighters (pictured) appear to be firm friends. The latter is the promotion’s reigning atomweight Muay Thai champion.
Rodrigues was handed a title shot on her promotional debut and beat Stamp Fairtex. But Aguiar, who competes at strawweight, will have to work her way up the ranks.
She has been matched with Dokmaipar Fairtex in a three round strawweight fight. As is always the case with ONE Championship’s weekly events at Lumpinee Stadium they will both wear MMA gloves for this three round fight.

Long awaited
The event will also feature the long awaited return of Shannon Wiratchai. He was was last seen beating Fabio Pinca by split decision and while the French fighter might have been making his MMA debut he came into the contest with a big reputation from the Muay Thai world making it an impressive result.
Wiratchai (10-6-0-1) has been on the roster since 2012. He faces Pourya Golpour (4-2) in a featherweight fight, the Iranian will be making his ONE Championship debut.

Main event
The main event is a flyweight fight. Chorfah Tor Sangtiennoi was one of the top fighters on the stadium scene in Thailand but was knocked out on the opening round of his ONE Championship debut.
He has been matched with Phetsukumvit Boibangna who will be competing on a ONE Championship card for the first time. The co-main event is a kickboxing contest with Paedsaenlek PKSaenchaigym taking on Russia’s Elbrus Amirkhanovich
