The stage is set for Zeus FC 4 on February 29th at Swiss Grand Hotel Convention Hall (formerly Grand Hilton Hotel) in Seoul. The promotion has announced three matchups that feature a mixture of local favourites and international talent.
Kwon Hye Lin (2-3) will face off against Camila Rivarola (2-2-1) in a strawweight clash. The 27-year-old Kwon is a Taekwondo fighter with a kick heavy attack. In the 27-year-old’s last appearance she was finished in the second round with knees in a kickboxing match at Max FC 20.
Rivarola is a Bellator veteran and a multiple-time kickboxing champion coming out of France. Despite being only two years into her MMA career she is very experienced competing in enemy territory.
In addition, an intriguing flyweight fight between Choi Seung Guk (3-1) and Kerwin Tan (0-0) has been slated. Choi, the Korean Zombie MMA disciple, spent a long time in the amateur leagues cutting his teeth and turned pro in 2018.
After going 1-1 in his first year, he found his footing and went on a two-fight winning streak the year after. His opponent, Tan, is an up-and-comer out of the Philippines representing Hitman MMA where he trains under ONE Championship veteran Burn Soriano.
Lastly, Jo Jung Yong (0-0) and Jung Ho Won (0-2) will meet in a lightweight clash. While Jo will be making his promotional debut, Jung will be heading into this fight on a two-fight losing streak.
Although the threat of the Wuhan Coronavirus has been canceling events throughout Asia, South Korea has seemingly contained the spread within the country and safety concerns have waned with the government publicly encouraging citizens to go on with their daily lives.
As a result, Zeus FC will continue putting on shows at a rapid pace.
