Captain Petchyindee has signed with ONE Championship. The reigning Lumpinee 154lbs champion looks set to earn a career high purse according to reports in his native Thailand:
Fighting as Diesellek Aoodonmuang he burst onto the scene at the start of the last decade. As a super lightweight Captain faced the likes of Saenchai Sor Kingstar, Fabio Pinca, Jomthong Chuwuttana, Petboonchu FA Group, Damien Alamos and Pakorn Sakyotin.
Captain disappeared from the Muay Thai scene for a few years but in 2015 he made a successful comeback. Competing at a higher weight class and with a slightly more conservative style he won the 154lbs Isuzu tournament and the Thailand and WPMF 154lbs titles,
After another long absence from the sport Diesellek returned in 2019 with a new name and a new team. He is now fighting out of the famous Petchyindee camp and last year he stopped Detrit Sathiangym to win the Lumpinee 154lbs title.
His teammates Petchdam Petchyindeeacademy and Petchmorrakot Petchyindeeacademy have already enjoyed success with the ONE Super Series. Having re-established himself as the best 154lbs fighter on the domestic scene Captain will be looking to follow in their footsteps.
