A bantamweight fight has been added to the ONE Friday Fights 34 card. In one of only two MMA bouts currently on the card Chen Rui will take on Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg at Lumpinee Stadium.

Zoltsetseg (6-4) will be dropping down a division having fought at featherweight last time out. The Mongolian has been in some very entertaining fights but is coming off a submission loss to Ilya Freymanov at ONE Fight Night 11.

Rui (16-6) is coming off a split decision win over Drex Zamboanga at ONE Friday Fights 19, he dropped the Filipino with body shots twice during that fight. The Chinese fighter has won five out of his nine bouts for the promotion.

Big hitters

Some big hitters from the world of Muay Thai have also been added to the card. Seaksan Or Kwanmuang has earned four bonuses from his five ONE Championship appearances and will be looking to pick up another when he faces Amir Naseri in a catchweight contest.

Seaksan’s bonuses this year have amounted to $90,000 USD. After his last win he was handed a ONE Championship contract meaning that the 34 year old could be in line for a title shot if he wins here.

Meanwhile the experienced Jomhod AutoMuayThai will be looking to get back to winning ways after a stoppage loss last time out. He has been matched with Songchainoi Kiatsongrit in a fight that is set for 116lbs.

Clash of champions

As previously announced Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9 will face off in a Muay Thai fight at ONE Friday Fights 34. The former will be putting his flyweight title on the line at Lumpinee Stadium.

Both men are champions with Rodtang currently holding the Muay Thai title and Superlek the kickboxing belt. The fight has been in the works for nearly a year and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 in Thailand.

It is bound to be a big draw for the Thai fans because Rodtang has won 14 fights out of 14 for ONE Championship, not including his mixed rules bout with Demetrious Johnson. But the promotion has never previously matched him with a Thai opponent.

Superlek has won seven fights in a row since dropping a contentious decision to Ilias Ennahachi in a flyweight kickboxing title fight. He comes into this contest on the back of an extremely impressive run of recent results.

Long awaited

In the other MMA fight on the card Lito Adiwang will finally make his long awaited comeback at ONE Friday Fights 34. The Filipino has recovered from knee surgery and will be taking on Adrian Mattheis at Lumpinee Stadium on September 19th.

Adiwang (13-5) suffered a serious knee injury at ONE: ‘X’ last year. He tore his ACL and was expected to spend a year on the sidelines but it has taken him longer than expected to recover.

The Filipino has represented Team Lakay throughout his career. But these days he is training in Bali after spending a few months in Phuket and it seems he will be doing his fight camp there.

Mattheis (11-7) is a veteran of 17 ONE Championship fights who has been on the roster since 2016. He is coming off an impressive first round knockout win over Zelangzhaxi at ONE Fight Night 7.

Top Thais

The card has also been bolstered by the addition of several other top Thai fighters. Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek-U-Thai won the prestigious Sports Writer’s ‘Fighter of the Year’ award in 2017.

Since then the 24 year old’s form has been more mixed. He faces Tyson Harrison in a bantamweight bout and will have to find a way to cope with an opponent who is five inches taller than him.

Meanwhile Muangthai PKSaenchaigym will take on Yodlekpet Or Atchariya in a catchweight contest at ONE Friday Fights 34. They are both big names on the stadium scene in Thailand but have never crossed paths before.

Prajanchai PKSaenchaigym will be competing under kickboxing rules at ONE Friday Fights 34. He has been matched with Akram Hamidi at Lumpinee Stadium on September 19th.

Prajanchai was recently crowned as the promotion’s strawweight Muay Thai champion for the second time. He beat Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE Friday Fights 22 to recapture the title he had lost to Joseph Lasiri.
