Deep 98 is set for Tokyo on November 1st. The event will be headlined by a welterweight fight between Daichi Abe and Yuta Watanabe.

Abe (7-4) scored a split decision win over Yoichiro Sato at Deep 95 last month. That snapped a four fight losing skid for the 28 year old former welterweight King of Pancrase.

But at 28 years of age time is very much on his side. Abe will be looking to resurrect his career fighting in Japan and potentially win a second title.

Watanabe (22-10-4) knows what it takes to win a Deep title. He is a former 170lbs champion with the promotion but came up short in an effort to recapture the belt from Yoichiro Sato at Deep 94 earlier this year.

That snapped a three fight winning streak for the 35 year old who made his debut in 2004. He will be looking to get back on track with a win over a UFC veteran at Deep 99.

Deep 99 is set for New Pier Hall on the same day. Tickets are available and there will be a live audience in the venue.
