Danaa Batgerel is coming off back to back UFC losses, But the Mongolian has enlisted the help of two of the best fighters in the history of the lower divisions as he looks to turn his career around.

Batgerel fights out of Fight Ready in Arizona. He doesn’t currently have a bout booked but the 33 year old has been working alongside former UFC champions Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo.

He shared a photo of himself with the two former rivals and current UFC flyweight Bruno Silva:

Technical and mental

Underneath Batgerel writes that he is progressing with both the technical and the mental side of the game. It would be difficult not to improve when you have the opportunity to learn from two legends of the sport every day.

The sight of Johnson in training is an interesting one. His hometown is Seattle but he had used Arizona as a base to prepare for fights, although it is possible the reigning ONE Championship flyweight champion has relocated there permanently.

Johnson doesn’t currently have a fight booked but he does have a belt to defend. He stopped Adriano Moraes in their rematch at ONE on Prime Video 1 earlier this year.

Him and Cejudo fought twice on UFC cards but are now training together and appear to be firm friends:

Next in line

Kairat Akhmetov could be next in line for a shot at Johnson’s belt. The #2 ranked Kazakh has won five in a row and has made it clear he would love to take on the former UFC flyweight champion.

But Moraes is ranked #1 and him and Johnson have fought each other twice, sharing a win apiece. Both those bouts have produced real fireworks so a trilogy bout would clearly be a tempting prospect for the ONE Championship matchmakers.

Cejudo retired as the reigning UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion. Meanwhile Silva is coming off back to back stoppage wins inside the octagon.

So Batgerel has certainly surrounded himself with the best possible people as he looks to resurrect his career. The Mongolian will certainly be hoping that the time he has spent training with these legends pays off.
