Deep Cage Impact Osaka cancelled due to coronavirus
Deep Cage Impact Osaka is the latest event in Japan to be cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus. The promotion announced yesterday that the fight card which had been scheduled for April 12th would no longer be happening.
Deep took to Facebook to break the bad news:
The event was set for Sumiyoshi Kumin Center. The main event pitted Rikuto Shirakawa against Shoji Maruyama in a bantamweight bout.
Also supposed to be on the April 12th card was Rin Nakai. The Rizin and UFC veteran is riding a six fight winning streak and had been scheduled to face Kano Kagaya.
It appears that the entire event has been cancelled rather than postponed. However Deep 95, which is set for Tokyo on May 6th, remains on the calendar at the time of writing.
