While fight cards in Japan are getting postponed or cancelled Deep Cage Impact Osaka appears to be going ahead. The event is set for Sumiyoshi Kumin Center on April 12th and four fights have been announced.

In the main event Rikuto Shirakawa faces Shoji Maruyama in a bantamweight bout. The latter appears to have recovered from the shoulder injury that put a premature end to his night at Deep 91 last year.

Maruyama (17-12-1) was the first ever lightweight King of Pancrase. He is coming off a stoppage win over the experienced Makoto Kamaya at Deep 92.

Meanwhile Shirakawa (7-7-1) lost two fights out of three last year. His most recent victory came at Deep 90 and he will be looking to score a statement win against the former Deep featherweight title challenger.

Also on the card is Rin Nakai (22-2-1). The Rizin and UFC veteran is riding a six fight winning streak and will be a strong favourite against Kano Kagaya (1-0).
