In a hard hitting Facebook post Denice Zamboanga has called on Angela Lee to vacate her ONE Championship atomweight title. The champion is pregnant and unlikely to fight until 2022.
Zamboanga had some strong words for Lee:

Zamboanga points out that she beat Mei Yamaguchi comfortably at ONE: ‘King of the Jungle’. The Japanese atomweight went the distance with Lee twice but under very different circumstances.
The first fight between Yamaguchi and Lee was a back and forth affair that could have gone either way. But the Japanese veteran fared much better in the rematch, something which Zamboanga references in her Facebook post.
ONE Championship is launching an atomweight Grand Prix. The first round of fights will take place in January and Zamboanga will be involved.
However the tournament winner will not automatically become the new atomweight champion. Lee remains the champion and whoever emerges victorious from the tournament will get a title shot rather than the actual title.
Lee is unlikely to appreciate being told to vacate the belt by one of her rivals. Zamboanga’s assertion that Yamaguchi is a better fighter than the champion also won’t go down very well in Hawaii.
While Lee won’t be fighting any time soon her younger sister, Victoria Lee, recently signed with ONE Championship and looks set to compete at atomweight. So while the champion is out of action for the time being the drama in this division is unlikely to die down.
