Pongsiri PKSaenchaigym has signed with ONE Championship and been handed an immediate title shot. He faces Petchmorrakot Petchyindeeacademy in a fight on Friday that will have the inaugural featherweight Muay Thai belt on the line.
The 29 year old replaces Detrit Sathiangym on the card. The former Lumpinee and Channel 7 welterweight champion will be making his promotional debut at ONE: ‘Warrior’s Code’ and only accepted the fight at two days notice.
As previously announced former middleweight title challenger Leandro Ataides will return at ONE: ‘Warrior’s Code’ in Jakarta next month. The Brazilian is slated to face Reinier de Ridder on February 7th.
Meanwhile former featherweight champion Marat Gafurov will be looking to register back to back wins for the first time since 2016. He has been matched with undefeated Romanian Iuri Lapicus in a lightweight fight.
In another alteration to the card Nyrene Crowley will make her ONE Championship debut in Jakarta. The New Zealander replaces Bi Nguyen and will take on undefeated Japanese atomweight Itsuki Hirata.
