Do Gyeom Lee made his ONE Championship debut at Lumpinee Stadium on Friday night. The former UAE Warriors featherweight champion came from behind to stop Guilherme Antunes in the second round.
Lee has been in with the likes of Rolando Dy, Mark Striegl and Ali AlQaisi but was matched with an undefeated Brazilian in the first bout of the night at ONE Friday Fights 12. Antunes looked to close the distance at the start of the fight as the Korean shot for an early takedown.
Antunes fights out of Phuket Fight Club which is better known for producing Muay Thai fighters than mixed martial artists. The Brazilian southpaw looked to land elbows, knees and kicks from close quarters as his opponent tried to counter with right hands and the occasional low kick.
It was one way traffic and Antunes looked like he was enjoying himself. He unloaded with elbows at the start of the second round, sending the Korean staggering backwards.

Antunes couldn’t keep up the pace and started to fight from mid range, scoring regularly with body kicks. But Lee looked like the fresher of the two despite having suffered several cuts to the face.
A right hand from the Korean snapped Antunes’ head back. Two more of these shots knocked him down and from there Lee swarmed all over him to secure the most unlikely of comebacks.
Lee had been staring down the barrel of a third straight loss but with the win he improves to 9-5. Antunes drops to 5-1 after tasting defeat for the first time in his career.
