Eduard Folayang returns at ONE: ‘Battleground’ Part II. The former lightweight champion will be looking to snap a three fight losing skid when he faces promotional newcomer Zhang Lipeng.
Folayang (22-1) turns 37 later this year and the recent run of results is the worst of the Filipino’s career. He was las seen in action at ONE on TNT Part IV getting submitted by Shinya Aoki for the second time.
Lipeng (22-11) is a TUF China winner and former Kunlun welterweight champion. Since parting ways with the UFC he has won 21 fights out of 23.
Former strawweight champion Alex Silva will also be on the card. The 37 year old is coming off back to back split decision defeats.
Silva (9-6) will also be facing a Chinese opponent. The Brazilian has been matched with Miao Li Tao (6-3) who is coming off a decision win over his Evolve MMA teammate Ryuto Sawada at ONE on TNT Part III.
The event is taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium next week and will be broadcast on August 13th.
