Fabricio Andrade has finally got the fight he wanted. The Brazilian has been handed a shot at reigning ONE Championship bantamweight king John Lineker.
In fairness to Andrade he has been calling for a fight with Lineker since well before the former UFC star won the title. But the 24 year old says he can only see one outcome when the two men face off at ONE on Prime Video 3:

Trash talking
Andrade has been trash talking Lineker for months and clearly does not intend to tone down the rhetoric now that the fight has actually been booked. He accuses the newly crowned champion of ducking him,
“Two long years on the hunting but I can’t blame the man for running from me I am actually happy he got to be world champion before our fight. But I know, he knows and the fans know John Lineker is going to sleep inside of a round and now is just matter of time!”
Lineker has not been stopped or submitted since 2012. Andrade had yet to even make his MMA debut the last time that someone succeeded in finishing his opponent inside the distance.

Hard hitting
In 2012 Louis Gaudinot finished Lineker with a guillotine choke in the second round. It was the UFC debut of ‘Hands of Stone’ and he would eventually live up to his hard hitting reputation despite not getting his octagon career off to the most auspicious start.
Lineker would go on to win 12 of his 15 UFC fights and earn a reputation for being the hardest hitting flyweight on the roster. Bur he consistently failed to make 125lbs and eventually decided to part ways with the promotion.
By contrast Andrade was living and fighting in China where he won two fights out of four. But the 24 year old has completely turned his career around since relocating to Tiger Muay Thai and signing for ONE Championship.
Andrade is on a seven fight winning streak but has not been content to do his talking inside the cage. He has been calling out Lineker for a long time and will finally get his dream fight in Kuala Lumpur on October 23rd.
