UAE Warriors 9 is set for Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi on Friday. The 15 fight card will be headlined by a lightweight bout between UFC veterans Dan Moret and Anton Kuivanen.
In the co-headliner Steven Kennedy (27-9) faces Tarek Suleiman (8-6). The former is a UFC veteran while the latter has spent his entire career competing in the Middle East.
In the lightweight division undefeated Russian Usman Nurmagomedov (7-0) has been matched with Ukraine’s Roman Golovinov (9-3). Meanwhile Trent Girdham (11-3) faces Jayson Margallo (6-6) in a bantamweight bout.
Meanwhile in the middleweight division ONE Championship alumni Bakhtiyar Abbasov (17-5) has been matched with Igor Litoshik (14-8) and Ahmad Labban (8-3) faces Magomedsultan Magomedsultanov (2-0).
UAE Warriors 8 was held in the same venue a month ago. In the main event late replacement Lee Do Gyeom stopped Rolando Dy to become the promotion’s new featherweight champion.
Formerly known as Abu Dhabi Warriors, the organization underwent a rebrand earlier this year.
