Haruma Saikyo will be defending his featherweight (57.5kgs) title against Yuki Egawa at Krush 97 next month. The show is set for the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on January 26th and also features the finals of the bantamweight and super lightweight tournaments.

Saikyo (14-3) is coming off a TKO loss at the hands of Yuta Murakoshi in the final of the 2018 K-1 World Grand Prix 57.5kgs tournament. However he remains the reigning Krush featherweight champion, having beaten the same opponent by split decision in his most recent title defence.

Egawa (9-2-1) is coming off a first round stoppage win over Yuta Otaki at the 2018 K-1 World Grand Prix 57.5kgs tournament. However this was the reserve match and his services were not required in the remainder of the tournament.

Krush 97 also features the final of the super lightweight (65kgs) tournament which sees Daiki Matsushita (9-4-1) take on Hayato Suzuki (6-2-1). Meanwhile the bantamweight tournament reaches its conclusion with Shuto Hagiwara (9-11-3) facing Akira Takashi (5-3).

There will be two cruiserweight quarter finals on the card. Last weekend at Krush 96 Kotaro Shimano successfully defended his super featherweight title for the first time with a decision win over Tatsuya Oiwa.
