Hong Man Choi has pulled out of next month’s Angel’s FC 9 event with an injury. The Korean giant faced Yi Long in a kickboxing match in Macau last Saturday and was on the receiving end of a spinning back kick to the groin area.
He was given recovery time by the referee but was unable to continue with the result bizarrely being ruled as a KO win for the Chinese fighter. Choi had been scheduled to face an as yet undisclosed opponent at AFC 9 on December 17th.

The Korean veteran had been scheduled to headline that card but has now pulled out, reportedly due to the damage inflicted during last Saturday’s MAS event in Macau. There are still four title fights on the card which is set for the KBS Arena in Seoul.
Angel’s Fighting Championship was founded in 2016 and has put on eight shows to date. The most recent took place in Seoul last month and was headlined by former Legend FC welterweight champion Myung Ho Bae.
