Jingliang Li will be back in action on December 12th. The Chinese welterweight is widely reported to have accepted a bout against Dwight Grant at UFC 256.

The event is likely to take place at the APEX Centre in Las Vegas. It had been set to be headlined by a welterweight title bout between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns but the champion had to withdraw

Jingliang (23-6) lost to Neil Magny at UFC 248 earlier this year. The loss snapped a three fight winning streak for the former Legend FC welterweight champion who is a veteran of 13 UFC fights.

Grant (10-3) was in action more recently and is coming off a loss at UFC Vegas 7. He has won two out of four fights for the UFC since earning a contract with a win at Dana White’s Contender Series.

The event will be headlined by a featherweight title fight. Amanda Nunes (20-4) is defending her belt against Megan Anderson (10-4).
