Jonathan Haggerty now owns two ONE Championship titles. The Englishman had far too much for mixed martial artist Fabricio Andrade and finished him in the second round.

No-one has been able to live with Andrade’s striking in recent MMA fights. The reigning ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai champion was on another level and had absolutely no issues transitioning to kickboxing, a sport the Brazilian has more experience in.

Haggerty looked to keep Andrade at range with jabs and low kicks at the start of the fight. The Brazilian answered with some low kicks of his own but the Englishman was gradually starting to outwork him.

Two titles

Andrade is known for his step in knees but it was Haggerty who started landing these strikes at the start of the second. A head kick rocked the mixed martial artist and from there it was one way traffic.

A right hand dropped Andrade and it was clear the Brazilian would not be getting up. He remains the promotion’s bantamweight MMA champion but Haggerty now holds the Muay Thai and kickboxing belts in the division.

Best of the rest

At the start of the night Lito Adiwang (15-5) earned a decision win over Jeremy Miado drop (10-6) in their rematch. He dropped his countrymen in the opening round with a left hand and had him badly hurt with low kicks towards the end.

Ayaka Miura (12-5) pulled off her trademark submission in the first round of her strawweight fight with Meng Bo (21-7). The Chinese fighter looked to be in a dominant position on the ground but her opponent somehow found a way to sink in yet another scarf hold armlock.

Things didn’t go so well for touted female prospect Supergirl Jaroonsakgym. Cristina Morales made the Thai teenager quit in the first round of their atomweight kickboxing fight.
