ONE: ‘Fire & Fury’ is set for the MOA Arena on January 31st and will be headlined by a strawweight title fight. Joshua Pacio will be putting his belt on the line against former champion Alex Silva.
Pacio (18-3) is a two time strawweight champion, having lost and then recaptured the belt. He faces a fast turnaround having successfully defended the title by submitting Rene Catalan at ONE: ‘Masters of Fate’ last month.
For Silva (9-4) the decision loss to Yoshitaka Naito at ONE: ‘Enter the Dragon’ earlier this year was his third defeat in a row. But he bounced back to submit Xuewen Peng and Stefer Rahardian with armbars and earn a title shot.
In the lightweight division former champion Eduard Folayang (22-8) will be looking to make it back to back wins when he faces Ahmed Mutjaba (8-2). The Pakistani has not fought in almost two years after pulling out of two bouts in 2019.
Folayang’s teammate Danny Kingad (13-2) will be looking to get back to winning ways after his decision defeat to Demetrious Johnson at ONE: ‘Century’. The flyweight has been matched with ONE Hero Series veteran Xie Wei (5-2) who is coming off a win at OWS 9 last week.
Another Team Lakay fighter on the card is Lito Adiwang (9-2). The ONE Warrior Series veteran will be looking to underline his title credentials with a win over Thai strawweight Pongsiri Mitsatit (10-4)
