Gentleman Flower FC 5 will take place on May 1st in Busan with a catchweight clash between Jun Soo Kim and Jun Yong Cho in the headline bout. The majority of fighters on the card will be competing in the professional ranks for the first time.
Kim (3-0), the Team MAD product, is the biggest name on the card. He is coming off an impressive decision victory over Jong Baek Kim at GFC 4 last November and will look to continue his run at the regional level.
Ssen Gym’s Cho will be stepping into the cage as a pro for the first time. He was scheduled to make his debut last February at Zeus FC 4 against Ho Won Jung, however, the fight was axed for unspecified reasons.
The co-main event pits a winless Do Hyung Kwon (0-7-1) against the up-and-comer Yeon Gyun Kim. Kwon most recently dropped a decision to Abdyzharpar at the promotion’s last show while Kim will be cutting his teeth for the first time inside the GFC cage.
Min Soo Kwon (2-3) returns after two and a half years on the sidelines to take on newcomer Jun Ho Lee. Additionally, Seon Jae Lee (1-0) will look to extend his undefeated standing against Chinese newcomer ShengZhe Li.
