A strawweight fight between up and coming teenager Karen Date and seasoned veteran Ayumi Saito has been added to the Pancrase 322 card. The two will face off at Shinkiba Studio Coast on July 27th.
Date (2-0) has a background in pro wrestling. The 17 year old has beaten two debutants so far in her MMA career, tasting victory at Pancrase 311 and Pancrase 319.
Saito (8-7) brings a lot of experience to the table. She made her debut in 2005 but has not fought in three years and is coming off four straight defeats.
Also in the strawweight division Tatsuki Ozaki (9-7) has been matched with Keito Yamakita (4-0). The former has won seven out of his last eight while the latter will be looking to extend his perfect professional record.
In the lightweight division Kota Shirawaka (0-1) takes on Robson Takano. The Brazilian will be making his MMA debut but holds black belts in judo and BJJ.
As previously announced the event will feature an openweight bout pitting Hikaru Sato against Kanto Fuchigami. The former made his Pancrase debut in 2000 while the latter comes from a BJJ background and will be competing in MMA for the first time.
In the lightweight division Takashi Matsuoka and Yusuke Kasuya are set to face off. The former has won four of his last five fights while the latter is a UFC veteran.
Pancrase 321 is set for the same venue on May 30th. The card will be headlined by a featherweight title fight with Isao Kobayashi putting his belt on the line against Taichi Nakajima.
