Two top middleweights will meet in a rematch at ONE: ‘Dawn of Valor’. Former champion Vitaly Bigdash faces former challenger Leandro Ataides in Jakarta on October 25th.
Ataides (11-3) is riding a three fight winning streak but has been out of action for over a year, after reportedly turning down an opportunity to challenge for the title. The Brazilian fought for the inaugural middleweight belt in 2014 but was stopped by Igor Svirid.
Bigdash (10-2) snatched that belt from Svirid in one of the best title fights in the promotion’s history. He was subsequently beaten by reigning champion Aung La Nsang but is coming off a submission win over Yuki Niimura.
The other MMA fight added to the card sees local favourite Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol (6-4) matched with up and coming Burmese atomweight Bozhena Antoniyar (3-1). The latter is coming off a decision win over Bi Nguyen.
As previously announced Zebaztian Kadestam will make the second defence of his welterweight title at ONE: ‘Dawn of Valor’ in Jakarta. The Swedish champion faces Kiamrian Abbasov on October 25th.
Meanwhile the co-main event is a kickboxing title fight that pits Regian Eersel against Nieky Holzken. The former won the promotion’s lightweight title by beating the same opponent at ONE: ‘Enter the Dragon’ and neither man has competed since.
The card will also feature the promotional debut of John Lineker. The UFC veteran will face Muin Gafurov in a bantamweight fight on October 25th.
