Lim Hyun-Gyu is slated to meet ACB veteran Kim Jae-Young on March 30th in the main event of Double G FC 2. The show takes place in Seoul at JangChung Arena.

Lim (14-7-1) is a former PXC welterweight champion and has built a reputation throughout Asia as an aggressor with knockout power. This ability allowed ‘Ace’ to enter the ranks of the UFC and have a seven-fight stint in the welterweight division with rollercoaster results.

After being released from the UFC the 34 year old returned at middleweight late last year in the inaugural Double G FC event and subsequently defeated former ONE Championship title-holder Igor Svirid via unanimous decision.

His adversary, Kim (23-12), is a well-respected veteran who is considered a first generation fighter in South Korea. He started off with Spirit MC in 2004 and has competed against the likes of Hector Lombard, Denis Kang, and Moise Rimbon.

In 2015, he demolished UFC veteran Matt Horwich in 31 seconds to capture the TFC middleweight strap. After defending the title once, he took his talents to ACB in 2018 and had mixed results.

Alongside this anticipated showdown, the promotion has added Yang Dongi versus Cally Gibrainn de Oliveira in the co-main event.

Yang (14-3) headlined the inaugural Double G show last November and crushed Paul Cheng in the first round. He made a successful return after three years away from the cage filled with mismanagement and unfortunate circumstances.

With all the negativity behind him ‘The Ox’ rides into the next event on a four fight finish streak that includes victories over the likes of Dennis Hallman and Kim Jae-Young.

Oliveira (3-1), on the other hand, recently had his heavyweight title taken by Satoshi Ishii at Heat 44. He was completely outclassed by the Japanese judo Olympian throughout the main event and finished with a kimura in the second round.

Now, he will step back into the cage with only three weeks of preparation for Yang. While ‘Ox’ has competed at middleweight for most of his career, he has found success as of late in the higher weight classes.

Additionally, Ahn Sang-Il (5-6-1) will take on Jason Radcliffe (13-7) in the light heavyweight division and Kim Byung-Seok (1-0) will clash with Shin Yoo-Seop (1-1) in a lightweight contest.

Meanwhile former UFC strawweight Jeon Chan-Mi will make her Double G FC debut on March 30th.
