According to a report in his native Brazil one of the most decorated BJJ practitioners to ever compete in MMA has a date booked for his debut. Marcus Buchecha looks set to face Oumar Kane at a ONE Championship event in Singapore on February 22nd.

Buchecha has won gold medals at BJJ tournaments on no fewer than 18 occasions. The 30 year old announced earlier this year that he had signed with ONE Championship and would be transitioning to MMA.

Kane (1-0) will also be making his ONE Championship debut. He hails from Senegal and has a background in wrestling, stopping a much more experienced opponent in the opening round of his only MMA fight to date.

As previously announced the as yet unnamed event will be headlined by a flyweight title fight.  Adriano Moraes will be defending his title against former UFC 125lbs champion Demetrious Johnson.

ONE: ‘Collision Course’ Part II is set to be broadcast this Friday. The promotion has yet to announced its schedule for 2021, only the flyweight title fight has been officially confirmed.

An atomweight Grand Prix is also in the works. Reigning Rizin 108lbs champion Seo Hee Ham has signed and will be one of eight fighters participating in the tournament.

This will be the first ONE Championship fight card to ever take place on a Wednesday. Previous events have always been on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
