Three more events have been added to the 2020 ONE Championship calendar and they all bear the same name. The ONE: ‘Infinity’ shows will be held in Jakarta, Manila and Tokyo.
ONE: ‘Infinity’ 1 is set for Jakarta on April 10th. This is the same weekend that Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson had originally been booked to face off in Chongqing.
It appears that this eagerly anticipated flyweight title fight will now be heading to Jakarta. Rumour has it that these ‘Infinity cards’ will feature the biggest names on the ONE Championship roster.
ONE: ‘Infinity’ 2 is set for Manila on May 29th. Meanwhile the promotion will return to Japan after a year long absence for ONE: ‘Infinity’ 3 in Tokyo on October 25th.
The likes of Christian Lee, Angela Lee, Eddie Alvarez, Aung La Nsang, Martin Nguyen and Sage Northcutt are all awaiting public confirmation of their first fight in 2020. It seems that some, if not all, of these fighters could end up on the Infinity cards.
Ten events were added to the schedule earlier this week. The addition of the three Infinity cards means that ONE Championship will be putting on five events in Indonesia this year, a promotional record.
