Reug Reug pulled out of a fight with Marcus Buchecha in April. But the Senegalese wrestling star will be back in the ring this month when he makes his boxing debut in an exhibition match in Dubai.

Oumar Kane, better known as Reug Reug, was last seen quitting on his stool at the end of the second round at ONE on TNT 4. But he will be looking to make a winning start to his boxing career on a card that is also set to feature The Iranian Hulk:

Traditional boxing

We don’t know the identity of Reug Reug’s opponent. But coming from a wrestling background he might find the transition to traditional boxing a difficult one.

The event is set for the P7 Arena on July 31st. Among the fights confirmed is an exhibition boxing match between the Iranian Hulk and the Kazakh Titan. Or, to give them their real names, Sajad Gharibi and Djumanov Almat Bakhytovich.

The Iranian Hulk’s debut is sure to attract a lot of media attention. He has nearly 1 million Instagram followers and has been talking about competing in boxing for several months.

A fight between The Iranian Hulk and Martyn Ford collapsed in spectacular style. The former seemed to be having some sort of nervous breakdown but appears to be ready to finally step into the boxing ring for the first time.

Confirmed fight

The other confirmed fight on the card is a light heavyweight boxing match pitting former footballer and model Trey Ndele against an opponent who, somewhat unhelpfully, refers to themselves as Pro Boxer. All the fighters on this card appear to be popular on Instagram but not one of them seems to have any actual boxing experience.

The promoter is an English company called Wicked N’ Bad. It has a history of putting on pay per view boxing matches in England featuring social media stars and celebrity dwarfs.

This will be the promotion’s first foray into international territory. But given that several of the stars of the show have a history of pulling out of fights it will be interesting to see whether the fight card remains intact come
