To prevent the spread of Covid-19, or coronavirus, Road FC has delayed its first show of the year.
On March 21st, the government requested the suspension of all indoor sports events and facilities. This is a measure in accordance with the Prevention of Infectious Diseases Act which restricts or bans performances, rallies, rituals or gatherings of people for prevention.
According to the Central Disaster Safety Response Headquarters social distancing has been effective in preventing the spread of the virus and is a major factor that could limit mass dispersal throughout the nation.
Correspondingly, Road FC has decided to join the government’s efforts and halt any activity until further notice.
To ensure the safety of the athletes, company employees, spectators, and other individuals involved, it was decided to postpone Road FC 58, which was scheduled to be held on April 18th at Gyeyang Arena in Incheon.
The promotion is looking to reschedule for the month of June but nothing is set in stone.
At the time of writing South Korea has 9,241 confirmed cases and 131 deaths.
