Another Rizin champion has vacated their belt. The promotion announced today that Seo Hee Ham had returned her super atomweight (108lbs) title.

In a statement published on the promotion’s official website it was announced that the Korean would be returning her title as an agreement could not be reached for her to fight on a future event. Seo also holds the atomweight title with Korean promotion Road FC.

Seo is a UFC veteran. She has beaten Tomo Maesawa, Miyuu Yamamoto and Ayaka Hamasaki in the Rizin ring with the split decision win over the latter last New Year’s Eve earning her the super atomweight belt.

She remains the Road FC atomweight champion but the promotion has been on hiatus since December. She follows in the footsteps of Manel Kape and Jiří Procházka who have both vacated Rizin titles in 2020.

The promotion currently has just one champion. Kai Asakura holds the bantamweight strap and looks likely to rematch Kyoji Horiguchi later this year.
