Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg enhanced his reputation as the wild man of ONE Warrior Series with a quick fire stoppage win against Hyunjin Lee this afternoon. The Mongolian launched a barrage of punched early in the opening round which completely overwhelmed the Korean.
After a brief feeling out process at the start of the round Zoltsetseg decided to throw heavy leather. He started punching and didn’t stop until Lee was cowering in the corner leaving the referee no choice but to step in and save him.
The sheer volume of punches was too much for Lee who fired nothing back and simply held his hands up and hoped the barrage would stop. It made him a very easy target for the Mongolian who needed no further invitation to throw caution to the wind and go all out for the finish.
Four wins out of five for ONE Warrior Series should be enough to secure the Mongolian a contract to compete on the main show. He improves to 5-2 while Lee drops to 2-1.
ONE Warrior Series 6 also featured a big decision win for Filipino featherweight Jerry Olsim (6-0). The Team Lakay prospect beat Heat Bantamweight champion Myeong Gu Kim (10-5) after a very close and competitive three round fight.
Earlier in the afternoon a welterweight prospect announced himself as Gadzhimurad Abdulaev (5-0) best Carlos Prates (9-5) by decision. The Russian spent virtually the entire fight in top position, and was able to fend off multiple submission attempts in the process.
