Shooto 0801 is set for Tokyo on August 1st. The event will be taking place at the Korakuen Hall, the venue that hosted the promotion’s inaugural event in 1989.
The promotion took to Twitter to announce that the event would be taking place at a slightly later date than originally anticipated:

While other Japanese promotions have been on hiatus due to the coronavirus, or Covid-19, Shooto has managed to put on several cards so far this year.
The most recent was Shooto 3105 which took place last month without a live audience. Ryo Okada retained his bantamweight title by stopping Kazuma Kuramoto in the main event.
Next up for the promotion is Shooto 0712 which is set for Osaka next month. That card will feature title fights in the lightweight and flyweight divisions.
