The final of the super atomweight tournament is set for Shooto 0801. Mina Kurobe and Megumi Sugimoto will face off at Korakuen Hall on August 1st with the inaugural 108lbs title on the line.

That is one of four fights currently on the card. Both super atomweights earned their spot in the final after winning semi final bouts at Shooto 0531.

Kurobe (14-5) is riding a two fight winning streak. She is a former Deep-Jewels atomweight champion and also challenged for the Road FC 105lbs title.

Sugimoto (4-1) made her pro debut in 2013 but then took a six year break from the sport. She returned last year and like Kurobe has won two fights in a row under the Shooto banner.

The card will also feature a Pacific Rim bantamweight title fight. Tatsuya Ando (10-2-1) fought to a draw with champion Ryo Okada in a fight for the world title at Shooto 0922 last September.

This time around he challenges for the regional strap. The 30 year old has been matched with Takumi Tamaru (11-1-1) who is riding a four fight winning streak.

In the flyweight division Takamasa Kiuchi (15-11-2) has been matched with Ryohei Kurosawa (12-2). The final fight announced today is a welterweight bout pitting Motoshi Miyaji (10-11) against Takeo Lida (7-4-1)
