Stamp Fairtex will have the opportunity to become the first fighter in history to win ONE Championship belts in two different disciplines. The 20 year old challenges for the inaugural atomweight Muay Thai title in a headliner at the Singapore Indoor Stadium next month.
Stamp will go up against promotional newcomer Janet Todd at ONE: ‘Call to Greatness’. The Thai has the opportunity to win two different titles in two fights after she became the inaugural atomweight kickboxing champion last year.
The card will also feature two bouts in the lightweight Grand Prix. Local favourite Amir Khan (11-4) will be looking to bounce back after his unsuccessful title shot when he takes on perennial contender and BJJ black belt Ariel Sexton (12-4-0-1).
The other quarter final pits Ev Ting (16-5) against Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev (6-1). The former has already challenged for the belt once while the latter would be undefeated were it not for an unfortunate DQ loss which came after a ONE Championship rule change.
The lineup for the lightweight tournament is now complete with four quarter finals booked. First up is Lowen Tynanes against Honorio Banario in Manila and the final fight of the opening round will pit Eddie Alvarez against Timofey Nastyukhin in Tokyo.
