Horiguchi is one of eight fighters confirmed for a Bellator bantamweight Grand Prix in 2022. Rumour has it the first round was going to take place in Tokyo but travel restrictions appear to have put paid to that idea.
Whether Horiguchi will have recovered in time remains to be seen. He was last seen been helped from the Bellator cage after being knocked out by a spinning back fist from Pettis.
