Two female fights have been added to the Rizin 14 card. Mika Nagano meets Miyuu Yamamoto in an all Japanese atomweight bout while Brazilian’s Gabi Garcia and Barbara Nepomuceno face off in a heavyweight fight.
Nobuyuki Sakakibara took to Twitter to announce the two new matchups:
RIZIN.14追加対戦カードを発表します! 今年2連勝中と進化を見せる山本美憂選手がRIZIN初参戦となる長野美香選手と対戦。そしてギャビ・ガルシア選手が1年振りにRIZINのリングに帰ってきます。熱き女子選手の戦いにご期待下さい。#rizinff pic.twitter.com/3ldaDCrhYu

Nagano (16-10-1) will be making her Rizin debut but is a Deep-Jewels veteran who has been in with some of the best fighters in the division. Yamamoto (3-3) has fought for Sakakibara’s promotion on six occasions and has won her last two fights by decision.
Garcia (5-0-0-1) has fought five times for Rizin but has come in for some criticism after being matched with much smaller opponents. There aren’t too many female heavyweights out there but Nepomuceno, who comes from a kickboxing background and is making her debut, reportedly weighs close to 200lbs.
There are currently 14 fights on the Rizin 14 card which is set for the Saitama Super Arena on New Year’s Eve and will be headlined by an exhibition bout involving Floyd Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa. There is also an event happening in the same venue that morning entitled Heisei’s Last Yarennoka.
