A fight between Wu Yanan and Bethe Correia was reported by the Brazilian media two months ago. Official confirmation finally arrived this week with the two bantamweights set to face off at UFC Vegas 16 next month.

The fight is set for the Apex Centre in Las Vegas on December 5th. It pits a Brazilian former title challenger against a Chinese opponent who has been forced to move up a division after missing weight by 4lbs at UFC Shenzhen last year.

Yanan (11-3) signed for the UFC in 2017 but has only fought three times after seeing multiple bouts fall through due to injuries to either her or her opponent. Her record in the octagon stands at 1-2 and she will be looking to make a successful return to the division in which she made her name.

Correira (11-5-1) is a former bantamweight title challenger and has been in with the likes of Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. She dropped a decision to Pannie Kianzad at UFC Fight Island 3 in July.

As previously announced the event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Darren Till and Jack Hermansson.
