ONE Friday Fights 17 is set for Lumpinee Stadium on May 19th. The first fight on the card has been released and it is a catchweight contest pitting Yodlekpet Or Atchariya against Denis Puric.
Both men will be required to weigh in at 138lbs while passing hydration tests which limit the amount of weight they can cut. Puric was scheduled to fight Jacob Smith last Saturday but the fight was scrapped when the Englishman suffered an injury.
He won’t have to wait too long to fight at Lumpinee Stadium for the first time. But the Bosnian ahs been handed a very difficult fight against a seasoned veteran who is already a big name in Bangkok.

Yodlekpet has fought twice for ONE Championship, winning both bouts inside the distance and picking up $10,000 USD bonuses on each occasion. The 28 year old is a former Lumpinee and Rajadamnern champion and appears to be well suited to the three round fights with MMA gloves.
At ONE Friday Fights 2 he stopped Silviu Vitez in the second round with the doctor waiving off that contest because the Romanian was badly cut. At ONE Friday Fights 9 he knocked out Saman Ashouri with a punch early in the second round.
With this fight taking place at a catchweight it isn’t clear which division Yodlekpet is most suited to. But he could be a contender for the flyweight Muay Thai title which is currently owned by Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
The two fought in Phuket in 2020 with Rodtang claiming a unanimous decision win. But with both earning a reputation for their aggressive styles it would be a mouthwatering rematch for Muay Thai fans.
