Yoshinori Horie will be fighting again in February following a brief, unsuccessful stint with the UFC. He has been booked for Pancrase 312 and will face Yojiro Uchimura at Shinkiba Studio Coast on February 16th.

Horie (8-2) won’t be able to look back at his stint in the octagon with any pride. The 24 year old was stopped with a head kick by Hakeem Dawodu on his promotional debut at UFC 240 and promptly released.

Uchimura (17-12-3) competes regularly in both MMA and kickboxing. He is coming off a decision win at Pancrase 304 earlier this year.

Pancrase fighters have enjoyed mixed fortunes in the UFC in recent years. The likes of Daichi Abe and Shinsho Anzai were released after a handful of fights although Takashi Sato and Viviane Araujo remain on the roster.

Next up for the long running Japanese promotion is Pancrase 311 on December 8th. Emi Fujino and Hyun-Ji Jang fight for the vacant strawweight title in the main event.
