Zhu Rong will be back in action on September 18th. Chinese fighters are on an eight fight losing streak in the UFC and the 21 year old lightweight will be looking to turn things around when he faces Dakota Bush.

Rong (17-4) made his maiden octagon appearance last month. He dropped a decision to Rodrigo Vargas at UFC 261, snapping his ten fight losing streak.

Bush (8-3) is also coming off a decision loss on his promotional debut. The 26 year old was beaten by Austin Hubbard at UFC Vegas 24.

Rong has been training at the UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai. Numerous fighters from this program have stepped into the octagon for the first time this year but the results have been poor.

Shayillan Nuerdanbieke, Liang Na and Aoriqileng all lost on their UFC debuts as did Rong. Established stars like Xiaonan Yan, Weili Zhang and Yadong Song are also coming off defeats during a disappointing year for Chinese MMA.
