Road FC 56 is set for Yeosu on November 9th. The event will feature the highly anticipated lightweight bout between former champion A Sol-Kwon and tournament semi-finalist Shamil Zavurov.

The bout was confirmed by the promotion on Facebook:

Kwon (21-11) has only fought once in the last three years. He was submitted by Mansour Barnaoui in the first round at Road FC 53 with the Frenchman earning $1 million USD as well as the lightweight belt.

Zavurov is also coming off a loss to Barnaoui. In the finals of the lightweight tournament at Road FC 52 he was finished by the Frenchman with a flying knee  in the third round.

Five months later, Zavurov got back to winning ways. He moved up to welterweight and beat Matias Jaurez in the main event of Gorilla Fighting 14 in Dagestan.

Zavurov will also be in action at Gorilla Fighting 17 on September 27th in Kazakhstan. He is booked to face Croatian veteran Ivica Truscek in another 170lbs matchup.

Next up for the Korean promotion is Road FC 55 in Daegu on September 8th. It will be headlined by a featherweight title bout pitting champion Lee Jung-Young against undefeated challenger Park Hae-Jin.
