Alyse Anderson’s last fight was cancelled without explanation. With three different cards taking place in a single day at ONE: ‘X’ a few fans might not have noticed.
But the atomweight contender appears to be in fighting shape. She shared a photo on Instagram of herself at the beach in Florida:

Florida has become something of a hotbed for MMA. UFC 273 took place in Jacksonville earlier this month with Alex Volkanovski beating the Korean Zombie in the main event.
Former ONE Championship light heavyweight and middleweight champion Aung La Nsang is based at Sanford MMA in Florida. Numerous other fighters on the roster have spent time training there including Martin Nguyen, Brandon Vera and Reinier de Ridder.
Anderson recently moved to American Top Team in Florida. It is another camp that has plenty of ONE Championship fighters on the roster including flyweight champion Adriano Moraes and heavyweight contender Marcus Almeida.
Anderson was booked to face Asha Roka at ONE: ‘X’. The Indian shared a video on Instagram which showed her receiving stitches for a nasty looking cut on the nose:

Anderson was handed a very tough assignment on her ONE Championship debut. She faces Itsuki Hirata at ONE: ‘Empower’ and dropped a decision to the Japanese submission specialist.
Much has changed in the atomweight division since that night. Hirata is coming off a surprise defeat at the hands of Jihin Radzuan at ONE: ‘X’.
Hirata dropped out of the atomweight Grand Prix after falling ill just days before the semi final. Seo Hee Ham also withdrew from the tournament with an injury but is now the #1 ranked contender after beating Denice Zamboanga in a rematch.

Ready to go
Anderson is not the only atomweight currently coming off a loss. Stamp Fairtex, Ritu Phogat, Zamboanga and Hirata were all defeated in their most recent bouts leaving the division in a state of flux.
There are plenty of potential opponents out there for Anderson. Judging from this photo she is in shape and ready to go whenever she gets the call from ONE Championship.
