ONE Championship’s 2020 schedule has been decimated by the Covid-19 pandemic. But with restrictions easing in many countries the promotion will begin putting on live events again this month and nine more events have just been added to the calendar.

ONE: ‘No Surrender’ is already confirmed for Bangkok on July 31st. It will be the first of ten events to take place in the space of just three months.

ONE Championship CEO / Founder Chatri Sityodtong announced the schedule on Facebook just now:

There are several fights confirmed for ONE: ‘No Surrender’ in Bangkok. But the locations of the other nine events are yet to be confirmed.

Nearly every country has quarantine regulations currently in place which would make it very difficult for fighters to fly in and compete. The ONE: ‘No Surrender’ card looks set to consist entirely of Thailand based fighters.

ONE Hero Series 13 and ONE Hero Series 14 took place in Shanghai last month. So the promotion has already proved it is capable of putting on fight cards in China at this time.

There are also several events booked for Japan in the coming months so that could be another possible host country for a ONE Championship card. However restrictions would probably need to be eased further in the promotion’s base of Singapore for an event there to be viable.

Live audiences have started to return in Japan but these ONE Championship events will all be taking place behind closed doors according to Chatri.

The promotion was on hiatus during March, April and May, at least as far as live events are concerned. But ONE Championship is up and running again with a packed schedule coming up.
